MASON 28332 Pit Bull Terrier Adult - Adoption, Rescue for sale in Newark, New Jersey

Poor Mason had a rough life on the mean streets of a local intercity. First he was thrown out when his owner didn't care to take care of him anymore, then on the streets he was attacked and hurt by some vicious loose dogs, Newark shelter truck found him injured and brought him in to medical. That bad experience left him not trusting other dogs so he is not good with other dogs at this point. Yet he is very loving towards people. He was excited when I took him out as he hadn't gotten out recently. He never had the advantage of being sent to training school either. But he did learn sit while here at the shelter. He will sit for a treat or food. He is very affectionate and wants you to love him.

He hangs on to the toy and bone in a "tug of war" game no aggression.

And he has these beautiful soulfull eye's that look up at you wanting to connect with you. He is a smart dog, we are hoping a experienced dog handler will want to adopt him and follow thru with training as he is a very loving dog..
